About Us:

Who we are:All Our Children (AOC) is a network that promotes faith-rooted community partnerships with public schools.

What we do: Acting as advocate, resource, and convener, AOC nurtures and celebrates these partnerships.

Why we do it: Our faiths call us to help all children reach their full potential by supporting their right to quality public education.

What our partnerships do:

Each of our member partnerships is unique. Some of them serve children directly — in Richmond, VA volunteers mentor students, help in the classroom and arrange for city kids to go to summer camp. Other partnerships, like St. Stephen’s in Boston’s South End, coordinate community groups — local colleges, City Year, literacy and summer jobs programs — to provide afterschool and summer programs for children. And others still, like the Cathedral of the Incarnation in Baltimore join with city-wide advocacy groups to lobby the state for financing to rebuild and repair dilapidated school buildings in the city.

Why donate to All Our Children?

All Our Children exists to be a community of inspiration and of encouragement and to generate and share resources for people and congregations who want to support public education.

All tax-deductible donations made to this campaign will go right to work to support our mission-driven work in the coming year. In 2016 All Our Children is:

  • Co-hosting (with local planning teams) a number of regional forums to help congregations find ways to partner with schools and address education inequity in their own contexts. So far we have three on the calendar (in New Hampshire, Buffalo, and Chicago), and we’re working on securing three more locations in the south and west;
  • Creating a series of instructional webinars to help congregations at every stage of partnership build their programs and impact;
  • Publishing a book of essays discussing the theological underpinnings for church-school partnerships;
  • Continuing to build our online community and website as a resource for congregations, individuals, and community organizations.
